For this pop-up portrait studio, I shot for both Out Magazine and The Advocate during their joint ‘Pride on Broadway’ event. We had Jonathan Groff, Wayne Brady, Sam Champion, and more amazing queer subjects come through. I gave the publications two separate studios, given they are two separate publications at one event. The studios were side by side, where we shot one with draped velvet curtains (a nod to Broadway), and one with a glowing white background (to showcase the emotions of the subjects). This variety gave them double the amount of portrait content from the shoot, and allowed me to shoot two different moods in one night — loved it! Scroll down to see a BTS video, too!
